Dr. Gloria Lee

PsyD, Registered Clinical Counsellor #2314

It takes a lot of courage to seek help and ask for what we need. There are lots of counselling options out there and it’s hard to know where to start. I believe you are at the right place.

Gloria is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and holds a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology degree and a Master of Counselling degree.

For over 20 years, she has been supporting individuals, couples, families, schools, and organizations. She takes a compassionate, genuine, and respectful approach with clients, building trust along the way to make effective and long-lasting change.

When you come into the office in Burnaby (or as she would like to call it her living room), you will be put at ease as you explore your concerns together. She will help you recognize and shift unhealthy patterns and make choices that are aligned with your values. You will gain insights into your life experiences and be encouraged to make solid changes to your life and relationships.

Although she works with a diverse clientele, she is known for helping couples. Gloria has extensive experience with premarital counselling and couples counselling. Clients appreciate her ability to quickly assess the root causes of their relationship problems and provide practical and transformative skills to make long-term positive changes.

One of Gloria’s passions is teaching about mental health and wellness. Over the years, she has led hundreds of pre-marital workshops and has regularly partnered with organizations throughout the Metro Vancouver area speaking about mental health related issues. This has earned her a reputation for being a trusted source for providing exceptional clinical service to the community.

Gloria believes in empowering the next generation of therapists, and enjoys teaching and supervising Masters level students in counselling skills and theory. Her approach is in creating a fun and safe learning environment that makes it easy to learn, make mistakes, and grow. One of her greatest joys is witnessing novice therapists develop personally and become master therapists over the years.

Gloria has been certified in specialized evidence-based counselling approaches such as Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, Attachment-based Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. Her expertise and experience have helped her to achieve consistent success with clients.

Gloria is a Certified Daring Way™️ Facilitator for Brené Brown’s work on shame resilience, vulnerability, and courage. Further information is available at www.thedaringway.com
