About Nivedita

Nivedita Ashok is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She holds two Master’s degrees in Counselling Psychology—one from Adler University in Canada and one from India. With over eight years of experience, Nivedita offers a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and integrative approach to mental health and personal growth. Having lived and worked across two continents, she brings an understanding of the complexities of belonging, identity, and transition that often shape our emotional lives.

Her therapeutic work draws on Compassionate Inquiry, Gestalt Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic practices, and Nature-based approaches. When it is meaningful for clients, she also welcomes conversations around spirituality as a source of resilience and connection.

The quieter internal struggles that can feel hard to put into words. She is particularly passionate about supporting those who feel caught between expectations—whether cultural, relational, or personal—and who are seeking clarity, ease, and a deeper sense of self.
